Penta, Hexa and Mirror Numbers Explained

Last updated: By Noushad, Kerala Fancy Number

VIP numbers are usually named after the shape of their digits. Here is what the common pattern names on our site mean.

Tetra, penta and hexa

  • Tetra: four identical digits in a row, e.g. …4444.
  • Penta: five identical digits in a row, e.g. …77777.
  • Hexa: six identical digits in a row, e.g. …999999.
  • "End" versions (Tetra End, Penta End, Hexa End) have the run at the very end of the number.

Mirror patterns

  • Mirror: the whole number reads the same backwards (a palindrome).
  • Semi mirror: groups of digits reflect each other.
  • ABC CBA and ABBA End: a block followed by its reverse.

Repeating groups

  • AB AB AB: a pair repeated three times.
  • ABC ABC: a triple repeated.
  • Twin halves: the first five digits match the last five.

Why the pattern affects price

Longer identical runs and cleaner symmetry are rarer, so demand — and price — tends to be higher. See the price guide for ranges computed from our current listings.
